February 1, 2009
I had a great weekend. I’m pleased about the way my February has started. Although shorter than the others, I think this month will be one for me to remember.
I just sold my access point. It’s been very reliable, but I’ve upgraded. It’s a waste for something to sit around and collect dust.
I also had the chance to do something I haven’t done in about 3 or 4 years (going to dinner and a movie). I needed a break from my usual routine and I needed fresh air. Don’t get me wrong, I get plenty of fresh air when I go running. It’s different going out for real.
Over the weekend, I realized that there are some luxuries that no one should have to live without.
1. A place to call home (It’s sad to be homeless).
2. Something to look forward to when you get home (It’s sad to have no reason to go home).
3. A hot meal (How would you feel if all of your meals were cold?).
4. Hot shower/bath (How do you clean yourself if you can’t use the water?).
5. A homie (Boyfriends/girlfriends come and go. BFFs have a little more staying power and can’t divorce you).
6. People (It sucks to be undiscovered. It’s like no one cares about you if they don’t know you.)
