January 1, 2009
It’s finally 2009!!!
I have to get used to saying 2009, now. I remember last year, I kept on saying 2007 unitl it was March.
So… New year’s resolutions. The last real one I had was back in high school, which was to get a car. I had a bunch of weird resolutions in the past. One of them was to avoid all of the cracks in the sidewalks. Another one was to steal garlic bread from the student store. Let’s not forget the resolution that I had to actually study hard for class (even now, I never completed this resolution).
I think this year, it’s about time I strive for some change. I’ll do some things that I’ve never done before.
1. Say goodnight to my parents once in a while.
The last time I ever did this was when I still sucked my thumb. That’s pretty sad if that was the last time.
2. Get back into a size medium.
I was shocked the day I found out that I didn’t fit into my medium sized clothes. I can only blame the fact that I started doing more running than weightlifting. I feel weird buying small clothes. Here I am complaining about buying small clothes when there are people trying to get into smaller clothes.
3. Be a better brother/son.
I think it’s safe to say that I haven’t been the brother/son I could’ve been. Compared to my other years, I think I’ve distanced myself away from my own family. I can say that I’ve been somewhat of a jerk for a full year.
4. Try harder in school
Why is this even on my list??? I think the only reason why I’ve done so well in school was because of my confidence. One of these days, this will be my downfall. I can’t always rely on natural ability. My professor are here for a reason. To teach me things I don’t know and show me how much I don’t know. This isn’t limited to professors either. I should seek the wisdom of the people around me as well.
5. Re-vamp my website.
I think the website is fine as is. But I don’t want things to be just “fine”. I need to unleash my full potential. Why give out crap when you can give out gold??? This resolution is on the back burner. I’d rather focus on the resolutions that have more staying power.
That about wraps up the resolutions that I have in store for this year. Let’s hope I succeed. My resolution for 2008 marry a rich woman so I wouldn’t have to work or go to school. If I actually went down that path, I’d be digging my own grave if we ever got a divorce.
