Somebody is turning 22! I made myself a very normal looking cake for my birthday. You can read all about it in the cake section of my website.

The craziest thing happened to me during my spring break. I went to the beach twice in the same week.

To everyone else, this may not seem crazy, but it is for me. I haven’t stepped on sand, or touched the ocean, for about four or five years. The first visit was to Sunset beach with some friends and the second time was at Carmel with my family.

Honestly, Carmel is nicer than Sunset, but I enjoyed Sunset more because of the atmosphere. There is much laughter and joy at Carmel, but that environment does not exude relaxation. Sunset was great. Nice and quite. We had a BBQ, I jumped in the ocean and went a little too far, and there was a street called Playa! At Carmel, I was feeling really manly. First of all, I had my beard on.  Second, the family dogs were with us. Third, I walked around without my shirt. I’m not too sure what came over me. I’m not really the type to walk around without my shirt (I usually save that for home, or with a certain someone that shall remain nameless). I guess I had more testosterone in my system at Carmel.

Days like these don’t come around too often. There are times when it can be a guilty pleasure. While you have fun, someone else isn’t. Some say in a situation like this, the person having fun is being selfish. I hate to kill these moments. I don’t see it as being selfish. I like to call it enjoying life’s simplest pleasures. If you really think about it, you are not subjecting anyone to any form of suffering. I guess it depends on your line of ethics.

I am having a hard time making a certain decision. I am deciding if I should have a beard as part of my daily life. I have a gene that not many asian guys have. I think I should take advantage of it. I hate seeing other asian guys with that mustache thing above their lip. You might as well shave the peach fuzz. I’m not a fan of gotees either. It’s like having a 24/7 vagina on your face. Either have a beard, or don’t have one.

    Dennis,

Keep your shirt on. I am glad you had fun at the beach. I am sure Sunset Beach was more fun for you because I was there. haha! Being and enjoying the beach does not mean you are selfish. dude, we were on spring break, live a little. thats the least you can do since you dont really have a life… like myself. haha! Anyway, I think your beard is cool, so, keep it, shave it off, whatever floats your boat!
