I guess the dating world has really changed from the last time I checked.

From the way I was raised, being traditional was enough. What do I mean? Showing respect, treating the lady well, not being an asshole, etc.

Why am I bringing this up now? Well, something interesting happened today. I found out that my cousin just got screwed. Supposedly, her boyfriend bought her a Lexus. The car is under her name, but he is making all of the payments. Looks like this guy bit off more than he can chew, a lot more.

I’ll cut right to the meaty part of the story. If you want details, feel free to send me a message. Anyway, I get a call at my home from a repossession agency. They want to repossess the Lexus because payments have not been made for about three or four months. Instead of walking around and flaunting cash, this guy is being a pussy and running. This guy claims that he has his own home, his own company, and a job. He was all talk. He had a condo, did not have his own company, and no job. I guess he’s just another lemon.

Is just being a gentleman already dead? If it’s really that easy to attract the opposite sex, why haven’t I tried lying my ass off? I already know the answer to that. It’s because I don’t have the heart to. I guess that’s why nice guys finish last (In more ways than one… If you have a dirty mind, you would know what I’m talking about).

Any guy can lie his way to create an ideal image, but it takes a real man to tell the truth and be up front. Even in the online dating world, I still can’t grow enough balls to right a false profile. After what happened today, it looks like that this guy is now broke and womanless. He can’t even respect my cousin enough to be honest. Well, it’s partly her fault for not seeing through what was going on.

What lesson did I learn? Patience. I’ve waited over 20 years. A few more won’t hurt.
